Lilly Collins was photographed recently wearing fashion’s latest trend: a wonderfully polished and stylish kimono. I especially love this outfit because it works for both day & night and, even better, you probably already have the majority of the fundamental pieces in your closet.
To recreate this look, I recommend Paige’s “Skyline” Skinny Stretch Jeans in Black Ink (available at Nordstrom) paired with Like Mynded’s Floral Print Kimono. I especially love these Combined Wedges from Zara that are the perfect addition to complete the outfit. Add a basic white tank & black purse, and accessorize with a killer necklace (like this Compass necklace from Urban Outfitters) or statement ring (like this one from Forever21) and you’re good to go!
One of my favorite things to do in the city is go on a date with my girlfriends. It’s so fun to get dressed up in your chic-est outfit and highest heels to enjoy a night of wine, cheese plates and girl talk with your best friends.
I especially enjoy the black and white trend and feel that trying out new trends is perfectly applicable for girls’ night attire. Whether it’s black and white color-blocking or stripes, these contrasting colors look extremely fierce when worn together. When I saw an outfit on Scent of Obsession’s blog, her stylish look served as inspiration for my next girls’ night look. Who knew a striped blouse and a black skirt could look so fierce!
Both Nasty Gal and Urban Outfitters have a great selection of black and white tops and black skirts, but I recommend a blouse with a solid black collar and button detailing (the black line elongates your torso and brings your eye to the middle of your body for a slimming effect) and a high-low draped skirt to add more depth.
I also loved how this blogger incorporated both gold and burgundy as accent colors into her look, and wanted to do so with both my makeup and accessories as well. I found this Marni bag at Saks and also loved the gold detailing on a Saint Laurent’s classic black pump (available at Bergdorf Goodman). Top it off with a pair of leopard cat-eye shades (Oliver Peoples shades are incredible) and you’re ready for a night on the town with your favorite ladies!
I recently styled a photo shoot and ended up creating so many incredible looks that I had to share at least one with you. In this look, the model is wearing Timo Weiland with Sergio Rossi heels and an Eleanor Kane necklace.
I’m all about the geeky-chic look: it’s the perfect route for those who want to spice up their “9-to-5” work wardrobe. Pairing a printed skirt with a funky blouse turns any outfit into an effortlessly polished look, especially with the addition of a statement necklace and subtle heels.
To recreate this outfit, I recommend mixing textures together. I love the idea of pairing this Lovers & Friends “Uh Huh” Sliced Mini Skirt (available at Urban Outfitters) with the Lush Cutout Laser Lace Shirt (available at Nordstrom). Add a fun necklace with a chunky sandal or pump (I love these Calvin Klein ones) to complete the look.
