Introducing the newest Fall MUST HAVE this season!! I am absolutely mad about leather!! I cannot get enough, and have been on a massive man hunt to find that perfect leather vest. I searched high and low, and came up with my favorite motorcycle duds for this fall. Leather vests are a great way to complete an outfit and seal the deal. If you ever feel like something is missing, just throw the vest on and load up on arm and neck candy and your good to go enjoy my favs by Phillip Lim, Alexander McQueen, the forever stylist and trendsetters, the olsen girls at The Row, Lanvin and the list goes on. xoxo, DTR
Last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place to honor the year’s greatest musical hits on the Billboard 100 charts!!! The presenters and winners entertained us by performing amazing hits such as “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, “22″ by Taylor Swift and “Come and Get It” by Selena Gomez, and what looked to me last night, Selena’s ex boyfriend Justin Beiber performed twice! One solo performance and another, The Beibs was with pop sensation Will.i.Am. Some made their way to talk to the media to discuss their wins and their nominations, but the most important part of the night for me was before the show even started when the stars walked the ‘blue’ carpet in some KILLER looks. My absolute favorite trend of the night were the jumpers!! We all know I am absolutely a sucker for a jumper. It is so easy, you dont have to think about what to wear as a top and bottom, you cover all bases in one look.
Next, we have the always stunning and adorable, Taylor Swift who transformed into several looks last night after taking home eight billboard awards. Unfortunately Taylor, I loved your look last year at the billboard awards much more than this year’s. But we know you’re trying to go for that whole fun and edgy vibe now…
Some of my other top style choices of the night were all from Taylor’s Best friend and colleague, Selena Gomez. Her first of three major looks was an Atelier Versace dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, and Neil Lane jewels.
Carly, you go girl! I totally disagree with E! Online‘s opinion of you as worst dressed – you rocked that Dyanthe dress!
I’m a firm believer in all black everything. As Parisian fashion royalty Diane Pernet says, “There is no new black, there is only black.” Check out the fierce look I put together for the awards.
Not everyone can participate actively in conversations about politics, world economic trouble, and geographical nuances. For those of us who may not have paid much attention in history class, The White House commands our attention via red carpet events! Last night, our country’s elite gathered together for one of the most politically fashionable evenings of the year, the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner. From classic and conservative to edgy and bright, most of the attendees were appropriately dressed for a traditional black tie. Here are a few of my favorite looks:
Of course no Presidential event would be complete without mention of, arguably, the most fashionable first lady since Jackie O, Michelle Obama. Last night, Michelle wore a stunning black cap sleeved Monique Lhuillier gown with fresh cut bangs on display.
