I cannot even believe I am using this post to say anything positive about MC from the other night. I was actually cringing while watching that performance with Thicke, and if you looked at the audience, they were too! Last Tuesday, New Yorkers welcomed an exciting new addition to Bowery Street: Intermix! The VIP’s of the city celebrated with a private performance by Solange Knowles and DJ Brendan Fallis at the New Museum. Guests sipped on Rosé, shopped, and strolled the red carpet for quick photo ops at the step and repeat! Featured guest appearances were made by Emma Roberts, Annabelle Dexter Jones, Kelly Bensimon, Audrey Gelman, Leandra Medine, David Neville, Veronica Swanson Beard, Veronica Miele Beard, Ronny Kobo and Jay Godfrey. Owner of the most popular mixed brand designer boutiques, Haro Keledjian, sold the Intermix specialty chain in a deal that was finalized December 31. Gap acquired New York-based specialty chain for approximately $130 million in cash according to WWD magazine. Unfortunately, I had another event to attend that evening, but my great friends from guestofaguest and Lauren LaRocca, one of the top sellers at Intermix, were kind enough to send me these pics from the nights party!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the UJA Federation of New York’s Women of Influence event at the JW Marriot Essex House NY. It was a great opportunity to hear some of the most fabulous businesswomen in the industry’s success stories as well as support my fellow colleagues. The honorees were Elana Drell-Szyfer, CEO of AHAVA North America; Bonnie Fuller, founding president and editor-in-chief of; Leandra Medine, author and founder of the blog The Man Repeller; and Charlotte Ronson, fashion designer. It’s so empowering to be surrounded by entrepreneurs who take their dreams and run with them, creating a self-sufficient reality.
