As the long-anticipated wedding season of summer has come and gone, New York City kept the wedding vibe alive as it welcomed Bridal Week. Whether married, a bride-to-be or bachelorette, the jaw dropping bridal collections showcased were sure to leave every woman in New York dreaming of wedding white! Check out a few of my favorite looks from the collections I previewed…
Pnina Tornai’s gowns are always beautiful in design, but her spring 2014 collection was absolutely breathtaking. While the collection had an overall vintage feel, every Pnina gown was intricately detailed with lace and crystal for a unique, modern look within the collection. Although the embellishments were enough to have anyone in awe, my favorite trend among Pnina’s gowns was the back adornments. I absolutely love styles that flaunt an open back— I think this is the sexiest part of a woman’s body— but to see this cut on a wedding gown was stunning, and truly part of what makes a Pnina gown highly sought after among brides. That being said, Pnina Tornai is by far my favorite collection for brides this upcoming season.
While Vera Wang is highly desirable for wedding day wear, but Vera Wang’s Pink collection was shockingly a miss on my bridal style guide! Each gown in this collection is overwhelmed with tulle, which seems to take away from the beauty of the bride as a heavy focus is placed on the bottom half of the gown. Drawing even more attention away from the bride are the pink hues of each dress in this collection. Together, both components of dress style and color make for an overall youthful look, which is something no bride should strive for on her wedding day. Although I am typically a fan of brides in Vera Wang, I cannot say I recommend the pink collection to any brides-to-be!
Why NOT still rock white?

Life’s a beach in Malibu, where surf-chic style reigns supreme all year round. For those heading to warmer climates on the West Coast, celebrity fashion stylist Dana Tycher Reisman, founder of personal shopping and styling service DTR Styles, shares her top picks for a relaxed Malibu look.
“Malibu is one of my favorite places in the world – I just love the laid back vibe. The style is beachy and fun, with a little edge inspired by the vibrant Malibu music scene.

Selena was once again a show stopper in her Versace gown, that touched on many of the on going popular trends right now, such as cut outs, sheer, studs, glitz glam, and earth tones. home run again selena!
CIARA STOLE MY HEART. How gorgeous did she look in that dress that the Queen Bey wore a few years ago to the Met Gala. To die for. Hands down, best dressed of the evening.
I cannot even believe I am using this post to say anything positive about MC from the other night. I was actually cringing while watching that performance with Thicke, and if you looked at the audience, they were too! However, she knocked it out of the park with that vintage, but not trying to hard kind of vintage, dolce and gabbana please put your tongue back in your mouth miley! act like a lady!
